In my dictionary, black pepper and freshly ground pepper have two totally different meanings, as well as tastes and textures. Once I started using fresh ground pepper, it was hard to turn back, as the two peppers react so differently on my palate.
This review is on the Ozeri Graviti Pro Electric Pepper Mill and Spice Grinder. This pepper grinder is an electric one, powered by four AA batteries which were included in the package, and can be quite helpful in a case where I am making a lot of food, and just sitting and twisting the head of a manual grinder would be uncomfortable and would not make sense. The unit powers on with the quick press of a button located on the flat base of the grinder. There is an integrated sensor which automatically starts the grinder when I tilt the unit over, which provides for a nice one handed control.
The grinder has a nice rubber non slip coating, which is nice for those times when my hands are covered in oil based marinades. Filling the unit is a little nuisance in my opinion as you need to twist off the battery cover and then pull apart the pepper storage chamber. I think it should be done much simpler as the other features of the grinder are so convenient.
In the head of the unit is a little metal knob which can be turned to adjust the size of the ground up spices, which works effortlessly.
I received this pepper grinder in exchange for my honest review.
