At my desk are a plethora of devices that need to be plugged in to be charged or simply powered on. Having a power strip that I can use for both plugs and USB cables is great as it can save space and power ports. This is the QICENT 4-Outlet Surge Protector.
This review is on the QICENT 4-Outlet Surge Protector With 5 USB Charging Ports. This power strip has 4 plug outlets on it’s top and 5 USB ports on side, all of them producing 2.4 Amps of power which is enough to charge today’s power demanding tablets. At the rear right next to the power cable, is a toggle switch that can be used to power on/off the unit. I like the placement of this switch as it is less prone to being mistakenly turned off. This is especially helpful if one has a computer plugged in to the power strip.
Having surge protection gives me peace of mind knowing that my peripherals are protected from spikes in the electric current. The plug sockets on this thing are very solid and grasp the plug very well. The only problem I have with the design is that the plug outlets are positioned too close together, not letting me plug 4 power bricks into it. But this isn’t such a big problem as most of my plugs fit.
I received this power strip in exchange for my honest review, and these are my unbiased thoughts on the product.
