An Excellent Chefs Knife with Great Looks

Having a solid chefs knife while I cook is very important to me, as it is the most important tool in the kitchen to me. Things I look for in a good chefs knife are, firstly, a well balanced knife. A knife that is comfortable is imperative as that is precisely the tool that will prevent my hands from hurting after slicing 20 lbs of onions. The other things I look for in a knife is the quality and craftsmanship of the materials used to make the knife, and the sharpness of the blade. Read on to see why I like this particular knife so much.

This review is on the Zelite Infinity 8 Inch Japanese Chefs Knife. The blade on this knife by Zelite Infinity is produced of Japanese Takefu VG10 Steel, with 67 layers folded over, Japanese style. The steel is not only stainless, but seems to retain it’s sharpness quite well. The blade has a beautiful tsunami rose design and is Liquid Nitrogen Tempered ensuring long lasting performance.

The blade meets the handle with a full tanged design, allowing for the strongest knife design around. The knives handle is mounted to the tang with a triple rivet design, with a mosaic printed on the center one. The handle is very comfortable to hold, as it’s rounded ergonomic design fits the clutch of my hand very nicely. The knife is well balanced and allows for firm and controlled movements.

The knife came in a very nice gift box, seated in a red velvet foam insert. In all, I am impressed with the knives quality and looks, as well as it’s retention of sharpness.

I received this knife at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review, and these are my unbiased thoughts on the product.
