Bread knives are one of the select knives everyone must have in their kitchens. They come in handy in instances where even the slightest pressure of a standard shard blade will mar the surface of whats being cut. This includes but is not limited to breads, cakes, tomatoes, etc. Read on to hear my thoughts on this knife.
This bread knife by Dalstrong is part of their Gladiator series of knives which are all made of high carbon German steel. Not only do they retain their sharpness very well, but they are also stainless, making it easy to keep them clean.
The blade of the knife is sandwiched between 2 pieces of black pakkawood held together with three rivets, which form a nice easy to grip handle. Beyond the bolster of the blade is a sharp ten inch serrated blade perfect for cutting breads. I find the blade especially helpful even when cutting large melons. These knives also prove helpful when splitting pound cakes.
The knife came packaged ready to be gifted in it’s magnetic closing case, and it included a sheath, micro fiber cloth and a Dalstrong key chain.
I received this knife at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review, and these are my unbiased thought on the product.
