The Unitek USB C docking station fixes just that problem.
This docking station is enclosed in a sleek aluminum finished plastic enclosure which matches the Macbooks modern looks. The dock can either be placed horizontally under my laptop or vertically on my desk with the included adapter. At the front is a blue LED light, and at the rear are 6 USB 3.0 ports a headphone and mic port, a HDMI port and an Ethernet port.
Included in the box is a power wire, USB C cable and a DisplayLink driver CD. Although the dock provides all these useful ports, it does not charge the laptop while doing so.
I found that this dock also works nicely with with computers without a USB C port. I used a USB 3.0 Type A to B cable to connect it to a USB 3.0 port on the computer, and the USB 3.0 ports worked nicely. I didn’t have a chance to test any of the other ports though.
I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion, and I truly think it is a useful product.

This review is on the UNITEK USB Type C Multi-in-1 Universal Docking Station.
The latest Macbook Pro with its many upgrades, came with one big downgrade. And that is the lack of ports to connect my peripherals to it. This was a big disappointment to me being that I have many devices that I use with my laptop. This dock is also compatible with other USB type C ports like on the new Chromebook Pixel.
